I bought this for my daughter who is in higher in excruciating weather conditioned Minnesota. She has made it through three winters this far with no complaints. Btw... Minnesota gets negative in temperatures. Thank yous Columbia.

I was skeptical that something so sparse and light could be every bit warm as I was told, but information technology really is! Took information technology to Yellowstone in Jan and (with a couple of layers under it) I wasn't cold. Had plenty room in it that I could habiliment two base layers under information technology without it existence too tight. I just wish the outside pockets were deeper - the attachment goes downwards near every bit low every bit the lesser of the pocket and my gloves keep falling out if I don't cypher them closed. At that place are inside pockets to put things in though.

Don't let the await fool you. She didn't believe the compact and thin await would brand her warm enough. After she has tried, she told me she was surprised!

I love this jacket! Whether I wear it under my waterproof shell for biking, under my snow jacket for snowboarding or to cozy upwardly afterwards a surf session, I do not become anywhere with out it. It packs down small for travel too!

Wife was looking for a low profile puffer in black and this has been a great jacket. The hood is dainty, jacket is extremely packable, perfect for traveling and hiking in the oddly warm Montana weather nosotros got while we were there. The only issue is that she probably could take done with the XS as the Southward is just a lilliputian loose all around. I have the aforementioned upshot with my Mountain Hardware puffer I got, usually a large and could have gotten away with a medium myself.

After a few washes the zipper fell off, it's a shame because I liked it so much. The same happened to the vest. You should review the quality of the zippers you put on the products.

I was as well cold in this glaze living in my northern, midwest climate. I bought another thick, downwards coat out of frustration that I was freezing whenever I went outside. It looks skillful, simply don't buy if yous live anywhere truly cold in the winter. Otherwise, it'due south a great looking coat and I article of clothing it when the temps are closer to forty degrees F exterior.
